You’re right. We’re just animals humans with animal human feelings and playing animal human games. The bigger ego you have, the more winning you are. Caring is human animal game – then we better stop caring. Remember, we’re just animals humans. You’re right.

Balancing Twain’s Mortification

HA! Another one on the animal series. I really like how Kevin Cornell, a Philadelphia-based professional illustrator and designer puts together animals and men on the same work space as one entity. As Mark Twain mentioned on the Letters from the Earth (1907), the finding from his study on the traits and dispositions of the so-called “lower animals” and contrasting them with the traits and dispositions of man has been humiliating to him. Perhaps, by seeing Kevin Cornell combining these two different creatures using Gouache media, we can see something more fulfilling to balance Twain’s mortification.
